Privacy
TejUp — expiry dates under control. Updated 26 October 2026.
In short
- No sign-up and no accounts. We don’t know who you are.
- Your list of items is kept only on your phone.
- A photo of a pack is sent to the server only to be read, and is not stored.
- No ads, no analytics, no sharing of data with third parties for marketing.
What stays on your phone
Items, dates, storage places, the “used / threw away” history, settings and the photos you take. All of it stays on the device and is deleted together with the app.
What goes to the server, and why
- The photo of a pack — when you photograph a pack (with the button, or automatically when you hold it still) or pick a photo from your gallery. The server passes it to Anthropic’s Claude model, gets back the name, category and date, and answers the app. The photo is not written to the server or to any log.
- An item’s name and category — for the “usually keeps…” hint, “How to store” and recipes. Together with them, the list of your storage places (for example “Fridge, Cupboard”), so the advice fits your home. Hints can be turned off in Settings; then the app sends nothing except photos to be read.
- The app’s language — so the answer comes back in your language.
- A random install number — created on first launch, linked to nothing, and used only for the daily request limit. Reinstalling the app creates a new one.
- Your network address — as with any request on the internet; used only to prevent abuse (rate limiting) and not recorded together with what was asked.
What the server keeps
Only counters: how many requests there were and what they cost per day and per month, with no photos, item names or addresses. The server may remember identical hints (for example “how to store milk”) for up to 30 days so it doesn’t ask the model again; such entries are not linked to any device.
Anthropic
Reading photos and writing hints is done by Anthropic’s Claude model. Anthropic processes the data under its commercial API terms and does not use it to train models. Anthropic’s privacy policy.
Permissions
- Camera — only to photograph a pack, and only while the camera screen is open. Auto capture decides when to shoot from the frame’s brightness right on the phone; nothing is sent until a photo is taken.
- Gallery — the app sees only the photo you pick; it has no access to the rest of your gallery.
- Notifications and alarm — to remind you of a date. Reminders are set on the phone itself; the server knows nothing about them.
Email from tejup.uz
If you left your email in the Android form on tejup.uz, we keep it, with the language you chose and the date, only to invite you to the closed Google Play test: the address is added to the tester list in Google Play Console. No newsletters, no ads. We delete it whenever you ask.
Children
The app is not intended for children under 13 and collects no data about them.
Questions and deletion
Everything kept on your phone is deleted together with the app. The server holds no data that could identify you, except an email you left on the website yourself. If you have questions, write to execode12@gmail.com.
